Dashboard
It is 7:30 AM. Nadia, a site director at a biologics manufacturing facility, opens ProBeya before she even gets to the car. On her dashboard she sees: the OEE gauge for Line 2 has dipped below 75%, there are three overdue CAPAs in the Quality workspace, and the safety cross shows two amber days this week. She knows exactly which questions to ask before the 8 AM management review.
The Dashboard is your personal command center — the first screen you see after signing in, and the screen you come back to between meetings.
The Morning Routine
Here is how experienced ProBeya users start their day:
- Check the Stats Cards — total items, active projects, team members, and completion rate across your organization.
- Scan Overdue Tasks — anything past its deadline that is not "Done" or "Verified" shows up here. This is your fire list.
- Review My Tasks — the 20 most recently updated items assigned to you, ordered by latest activity.
- Glance at SQCDP Health — five traffic-light indicators (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People) aggregated across all boards. Red means at least one KPI in that category is out of range.
- Skim Recent Activity — who did what, when. Useful for catching up after a day off.
Default Widgets
When you first sign in, the dashboard comes pre-configured with these widgets:

Customizing Your Dashboard
The dashboard grid is powered by drag-and-drop (react-grid-layout). You can make it look exactly the way you need for your role.
Enter Edit Mode
Click the lock/unlock icon in the toolbar. When unlocked:
- Drag any widget to reposition it.
- Resize any widget by pulling its corner handle.
- Your layout saves automatically after you stop moving things (500ms debounce). A "Layout saved" toast confirms.
Add Widgets
Click + Add Widget to open the widget palette. Browse the available widget types — each card shows an icon and description. Click to add it to the next available grid position. Then drag it where you want it.
Reset to Defaults
Click the Reset button (rotate icon) to discard your custom layout and revert to the default arrangement. Useful if you have experimented too much and want a clean start.
Site directors: put Stats Cards, KPI Summary, and SQCDP Health at the top. QA managers: prioritize Overdue Tasks and Action Summary. Line supervisors: lead with OEE Gauge and Safety Cross. Customize for your morning questions, not for decoration.
Dashboard Tabs and Sharing
ProBeya supports multiple dashboard tabs — create separate tabs for different contexts (e.g., "Daily Review", "Weekly KPIs", "Monthly Management Review"). You can also:
- Share dashboards with your team via the Share dialog
- Export to PDF for offline review or inclusion in management review packs
- Copy a link for quick access from bookmarks or emails
- TV Mode — a fullscreen auto-cycling mode designed for wall-mounted screens in the obeya room, with dot navigation and fade transitions
Widget Configuration
Most widgets can be configured after being added. Click the settings icon on any widget to open its configuration panel:
- KPI widgets: select which KPI definition to display, set the time range, and choose color thresholds
- OEE Gauge: map three KPI definitions (Availability, Performance, Quality) and set the target percentage
- Safety Cross: select the safety incident KPI and customize threshold values for green/amber/red
- 5S Audit Radar: select the board containing your 5S KPI definitions and optionally overlay previous audit scores for trend comparison
- Custom Chart: choose data source, chart type (bar, line, pie), and configure axes
Creating from the Dashboard
The toolbar includes two shortcuts:
- New Project — opens the Create Project dialog (requires at least one workspace)
- New Workspace — opens the Create Workspace dialog
You need at least one workspace before you can create projects. If the New Project button is disabled, create a workspace first.
Responsive Layout
The grid adapts to five screen-size breakpoints (lg, md, sm, xs, xxs). Each breakpoint has its own column count and layout. Your dashboard looks right on a 4K wall-mounted display, a laptop, and a tablet.
Data Freshness
All dashboard data is fetched from the server via tRPC and cached by TanStack Query. The default stale time ensures that switching browser tabs and returning shows fresh data without a visible loading spinner. Data is refetched when the dashboard mounts.
When using TV Mode on a wall-mounted screen, ProBeya automatically refreshes data at a configurable interval so the display stays current throughout the shift.

Beyond operational and manufacturing widgets, ProBeya offers utility widgets for building complete information radiators:

Each person's layout is saved independently. Nadia never sees the line supervisor's dashboard, and vice versa.
Permissions
- All widgets respect your workspace and project permissions. You only see items, KPIs, and actions for boards you have access to.
- Stats cards aggregate across all projects where you are a member.
- Layout customization is per-user and per-organization. Your layout does not affect what other team members see.
Troubleshooting
