Widget Catalog
The Widget Catalog is the organization-level registry of dashboard widget types. It controls which widgets are available for users to add to their personal dashboards and for admins to include in Dashboard Templates. Each widget type can be individually enabled or disabled for your organization without affecting other tenants.
Overview
ProBeya ships with a set of system widgets covering operations, projects, agile workflows, personal productivity, and analytics. Not every widget is relevant to every organization. A manufacturing site running TIER routines may not need agile sprint widgets. A pharma PMO may not need shop-floor operations widgets.
The Widget Catalog gives admins a central place to trim the widget picker to only those widget types appropriate for their organization's workflows. Disabling a widget type removes it from the widget picker for all users, preventing dashboard clutter without permanently deleting anything.
Getting Started
- Navigate to Settings > Widget Catalog.
- The catalog table lists all available widget types with their category, description, and current enabled state.
- Use the toggle on the right side of each row to enable or disable individual widget types.
- Changes take effect immediately — no Save button is required. A confirmation toast confirms each toggle.
Widget types marked with a lock icon are system widgets shared across all ProBeya tenants. They can be disabled for your organization but cannot be deleted. This ensures ProBeya can safely update system widget definitions without risking data loss.
Widget Categories
Widgets are organized into five categories, each with a distinct color badge in the catalog:

Configuration
Enable / Disable a Widget Type
Each row in the catalog has a toggle switch on the right. Toggling a widget:
- Enabled: The widget type appears in the widget picker for all users in the organization. Users can add it to their personal dashboards and admins can include it in Dashboard Templates.
- Disabled: The widget type is hidden from the widget picker. Users who already have an instance of this widget on their dashboard continue to see it (existing instances are not removed), but no new instances can be added.
System Widgets
System widgets are identified by a lock icon next to their name. These widgets are:
- Defined and maintained by ProBeya at the platform level.
- Available to all tenants by default.
- Not deletable — only the enabled/disabled state can be changed per organization.
When you toggle a system widget, ProBeya creates an organization-scoped overlay record rather than modifying the shared system definition. This means your change affects only your organization and does not impact other tenants.
Organization-Specific Widgets
Widgets without a lock icon are organization-specific. These are custom widget types created for your organization (for example, through custom integrations or configuration). They can be fully managed, including deletion, through the catalog.
Catalog Table Columns

Permissions

Tips & Best Practices
- Disable categories irrelevant to your workflow. If your organization does not run agile sprints, disable all widgets in the Agile category. This simplifies the widget picker for all users and reduces onboarding confusion.
- Disabling a widget type does not remove existing instances. Users who already placed a disabled widget on their dashboard continue to see it. If you need to fully retire a widget type, communicate the change to users before disabling it so they can replace it proactively.
- Review the catalog when onboarding a new team. When a new business unit joins your ProBeya organization, audit the catalog to confirm that the widget types they need are enabled before their onboarding session.
- Coordinate with Dashboard Templates. If you disable a widget type that is included in a Dashboard Template, the template's layout will contain a broken widget placeholder for new users. Audit your templates after disabling widget types.
- System widgets are updated automatically. When ProBeya releases an update to a system widget (new fields, improved visualization), the update applies to all organizations that have it enabled. Your org-level enable/disable setting is preserved across updates.
